Will the SSC make any changes in syllabus for SSC CGL?

As the SSC CGL examination is going to face delays, most of the candidates thinking that SSC is going to make changes in the syllabus. But this is not so, SSC is not going to make any changes in the syllabus of SSC CGL. The examination is facing delays because of other issues which are not related to examinations’ syllabus.

Syllabus of SSC CGL Examination
Tier 1
It is online exam of 100 question with time limit of 75 Minutes. It questions format is as follow: -
  • Maths – 25 Question
  • Reasoning – 25 Questions
  • General Studies – 25 Questions
  • English – 25 Questions
After cracking tier 1, candidates will have to appear for tier 2 which comprised of 2 exams.
Tier 2
The 2 examinations of tier 2 are also online: -
  • Maths – 100 Questions of 200 Marks with 2 Hours’ time limit.
  • English – 200 Questions of 200 Marks with 2 Hours’ time limit
Tier 3
This tier judges the writing ability of the candidates. They have to write descriptive essays on given topic. The maximum marks are 100 with 60 minutes time limit.
Tier 4
The candidates who qualify the three tiers get the opportunity to face tier 4. It includes personality test aptitude and an interview with experts’ panel.
Do candidates must have to take SSC CGL coaching to qualify examination?
No, it is not necessary to join coaching classes for favourable results in SSC CGL examination. You can qualify SSC CGL by preparing at home. the tips which can help you during preparation are: -
  • Divide your time and allocate it according to your weak and strong topics of syllabus. Assign more time to weak and scoring topics.
  • Read regular newspaper, magazines such competition Master, Competition Success and you can also buy SSC CGL test series for favourable results.
  • Practice as many mock tests you can. It is always good to practice it so that you will get familiar to pattern and format of SSC CGL Exam.
  • Must consider previous years’ question papers.
